Fabulous Old Town Albuquerque restaurants are waiting for you to come and enjoy great food in a special place. Find everything from casual New Mexican favorites to country French to perfect steaks. All the restaurants have indoor seating, and some have additional outdoor seating, take-out and delivery options.
Enjoy New Mexican cuisine
New Mexican cuisine is like no other. Choose either green chile or red on your enchiladas, tamales, or chile rellenos. If you ask for “Christmas” style, you get both! You’ll find traditional New Mexican dishes at Church Street Cafe, Gardunos, and Monica’s El Portal. High Noon Restaurant & Saloon offers great steaks, a wonderful combination plate, and additional dishes with a New Mexican twist. Try the shrimp enchiladas, Red Chile Beef Bites, or a buffalo burger. Don’t forget to add an outstanding margarita!
Old Town Albuquerque restaurants–casual to upscale
Old Town Albuquerque has the whole range of restaurants from casual to upscale. Gobble This offers Salvadoran papusas in a casual atmosphere. Pizza is America’s favorite food, and Old Town Pizza Parlor has some of the best. Try the Frito pie and other casual fare at Old Town Cafe–we especially like their hand-painted windows, art, and murals by a local artist. Curries and vegan cuisine can be found at Romero Street Curry and Chai. For an elegant dinner any day of the week, enjoy a fantastic dinner in an intimate setting at Antiquity Restaurant. Seasons is a lovely upscale restaurant with a newly remodeled modern space on the main floor or spectacular views in the more casual lounge upstairs.
Snacks, sweets and more
If you’re looking for snacks, coffee or sweets, Old Town has lots of options. Black Bird Coffee House has outstanding coffee drinks, pastries and more in a shady hacienda patio. Old Town Ice Cream Parlor has at least a dozen flavors of ice cream as well as coffee drinks. Try delicious chocolates and candies at La Choco Salty & Sweet. Visit Raven Blues Cafe right on the Plaza for frozen yogurt and some light sandwiches.
So many restaurants, so little time! Should you find yourself with more time, you don’t have far to go to visit some of the best restaurants in downtown Albuquerque.
