Guest Health & Wellness
You want a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The Bottger Mansion is an oasis in the heart of Albuquerque with comfortable rooms, a shady yard, a swing in the courtyard, and great food.
We are taking great care to ensure guest comfort and accessibility at the Bottger Mansion of Old Town. Safety is our first concern for everyone, and we want to share with you how we plan to take care of you. Please understand, it is a work in progress and things will continue to change. Please check back here often.
For everyone’s safety, we have implemented additional operating procedures that comply with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, state, and local guidelines, as well as those recommended by hospitality industry experts. These procedures will include breakfast service changes, guest room housekeeping, and common area procedures to supplement our already rigorous processes. We want to ensure that our guests feel a sense of security when staying with us. We are confident that these extra measures and precautions make our inn a safe place to stay and relax.
What will never change is our commitment to making your stay special and memorable.

Our current New Mexico public health order
Health of guests and employees
If you don’t feel well or have a temperature, please stay home. We will work with you. You can always reschedule your stay at the Bottger Mansion. Our employees will stay home and quarantine if they don’t feel well or run a temperature, and a negative test is required to return to work.
Guest self-check-in and check-out
Self-check-in is available for guests arriving before 3:00 p.m. or after 6:00 p.m. We will contact you on the morning of your arrival to provide self-check-in information. Please understand that with additional cleaning for your safety, earlier check-in may not be possible. We are always available by phone or text.
Face masks or coverings and social distancing
Per New Mexico’s Public Health Order, face masks or coverings must be worn inside public places, including lodging establishments. The innkeepers and all employees will be wearing face masks. Guests are required to wear face masks or coverings before entering the house and in our public areas including the entry, living room, stairwell and hallways. When requested, we can provide complimentary paper masks for your stay. You may also purchase reusable fabric face masks at masksbykathy.com. Please observe a 6-foot social distance with your fellow guests and the innkeepers and housekeepers.
Guest rooms are now furnished with dining tables and chairs, so you can bring take-out dinner back to your room, and breakfast is served to your room. In summer, guests may enjoy breakfast outside in our beautiful courtyard at a designated time. Tables in the courtyard are at least 6 feet apart. Check the digital display by the front entry for the next day’s breakfast entree and other options. Maybe you’ll be out early and need a breakfast-to-go. Or maybe you want to sleep in and don’t want breakfast at all! Just let us know.
Coffee, tea, beverages and snacks
We can deliver coffee or tea starting at 7:00 a.m. for the early risers. Instead of beverages and goodies in our guest area, we will have cookies waiting in each guest room upon arrival. Coke, coffee or tea may be requested by text or phone until 8:00 p.m. Guidelines require that we discontinue all self-service items such as dishes, glasses, ice makers and coffee makers. If you need something, just ask.
In addition to our normal high standards for housekeeping, we are disinfecting all surfaces in the guest room before check-in. The surfaces in the public areas will be disinfected regularly during the day. All linens in guest rooms, including blankets and coverlets, are laundered after each check-out.
Guest rooms will not be tidied during your stay. We will deliver fresh towels or other essential room supplies on request and leave them outside your door. A cotton laundry bag is available in your room for used towels.
Hand sanitizer is readily available throughout the inn and in the guest rooms.
Please use our web app for up-to-date information on local restaurants, services, and things to do. At times, local restaurants are not permitted to provide indoor dining, and outdoor seating may be limited or unavailable. Many restaurants also do curbside pick-up or delivery. For the most current information, please contact the restaurant directly. If you choose to have other meals delivered or pick them up yourself, please let us know if you need dishes, utensils and napkins. You can have a lovely dinner without using plastic forks!
Relax and do nothing at all
Our lush and shady yard is a great place to watch birds, unwind and relax. There is plenty of space in the front yard to enjoy nature while social distancing. The swing in the courtyard is fitted out with new cushions and waiting for your visit. Tiguex Park is only 5 minutes away, and many hiking trails are just a short distance.
