Here’s some basic information on the Santa Fe Indian Market:
The Santa Fe Indian Market is in its 91st year of Native American arts and crafts, with over 1,100 Native artists from the United States and Canada. You, along with buyers, collectors and gallery owners, can meet and buy directly from the artists. The Indian Market centers around the historic Plaza in Santa Fe and covers 14 blocks of downtown Santa Fe.
Food, music and films:
Sample both traditional and contemporary Native American foods from vendors at the market, as well as local restaurants, from mutton and frybread to a fusion of world cuisines and local ingredients. During Indian Market weekend, enjoy music on the Plaza Stage from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. If you’re a film buff, curious about the Native American film industry, or just want to take a break, check out the Native Cinema Showcase for films about, by or starring Native Americans.
